Just kidding, there are only 29. What requirements does it take to become a social media manager? Well for starters the ability to get chatty with an endless array of topics is paramount. Next you should brush up on SEO or Search Engine Optimization, Adwords & Facebook ad promotions. Being knowledgeable on these topics is building a solid foundation for a career in asocial media management or social media marketing. Running analytic to obtain stats on the performance of posts, blogs is essential, in order gauge the amount of exposure an ad, post is receiving. Is the ad purchase giving a solid ROI or return on investment that the client should expect? Is the post or ad for name recognition or for increase in sales or both?
The Social Media Platform is a mountain from which you can shout!
You need to be able to ask pertinent questions such as: What are your expectations using social media ads &posts? What are the goals you are seeking to achieve? What is your budget? Are you willing to commit to a long term strategy to achieve your goal for sustained growth & name recognition? These are starter questions. Can you design an ad campaign for a client? Do you enjoy designing ads, editing photos? Do you answer queries from the public in a timely matter & calmly regardless of the tone & tenor of the query? You must speak fluent Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pintrest, LinkedIn among other social media platforms. Promotion through various social media platforms continues the building process. Using optimized keywords to trigger advancement up the google ladder of advancement is yet another level in creation of a multi-tiered building that forms a skyscraper for name recognition of a brand. If after reading the previous information, you are still interested in pursuing a career in social media marketing or social media management, then ask go for it!

Your representation of a brand means the world to a business proprietor, who has no doubt invested many countless hours, thousands of dollars & sleepless nights into establishing their business. When staring out at the view from a mountain or skyscraper, while equipped with the proper hang gliding gear, take a leap of faith. Don't ask what if I fall? Oh my dear what if you fly! You have the tools, you are prepared & now you should take that leap! You do know this is metaphorically don't you? Disclaimer: Do not go hang gliding off of a skyscraper. LOL...
